Nowadays still there are many people who think that architects can only design
houses. This is wrong. This might happen due to the fact, that the architects, who common people often directly interact with,
are social architects who design houses and social buildings. In fact, most architects work “behind the scene”
and they design almost all buildings: from auditoria, airports, train stations, concert halls, stadia, hospitals, appartments,
to skycrapers.
Architecture is an intricate job, where an architect has to design all elements
of a building: from the areas and rooms layout inside a building, the building’s structural system, utilites system,
and the exterior of a building, where all of these must go together in a harmonious and aesthetic way! When an architect finishes
his design in form of detailed construction drawings, he hands it over to a structural engineer to have its structure design corrected
and further constructed on the field.
Below I’d like to show you some buildings (not all!) that I have designed
in ITB’s architectural studios. Since lecturers gave complete freedom to students to choose their own jobs, these were
my self selected projects. On this page, my designs are shown in portfolio form. Of course I have their detailed
construction drawings too.
