Hi da! Wie geht's? 
 
On this page, I'd like to teach you some short German phrases. You can use these phrases when you come across a German later in your downtown. =)
 
This conversation is in formal style. The guidance on the German pronunciation given below the sentence is attempted to meet the real one as close as possible. Have fun!
 
 
PRONUNCIATION GUIDANCE:
1. In German, every letter is pronounced. Including the one standing at the end.
2. è  is read as the  e  in  lever, tender, taken
3. Capitalised letters, such as H, V, etc. indicate stress.
4. Dashes ( - ) are given so as to ease the reading of long words.  
 
 
CONVERSATION:
Hello! Good morning! Good afternoon! Good evening!
     Hallo! Guten Morgen! Guten Tag! Guten Abend! 
 
Do you speak german?
     Sprechen Sie Deutsch?
     (pronunciation: sh-pray-Hèn zee doich?)
