MY DAD can easily be described by 4 words: clever, visionary, very disciplined, yet tough. He retained
his rigid character from his past, where as the eldest son in the family, he had to feed and bring his 4 sisters up after
his father's death.
My father has now retired and guides a property development company based in Jakarta which he and his friends
had founded, as its commisioner. Outside the business, he also manages and develops his own assets in property, where he often
appoints me his architect. Daily, he is also engaged with trading stocks and options (a derivative of stock) in the New York
Stock Exchange. Prior to retirement, he was a Vice Director of a national construction company in Indonesia. Although I often
disagree with his rigidity and hardness, still I respect him for what he has done for me and everything he has taught me.
MY MOTHER is almost contrary to my father in terms of character. She is a very open, warm, and welcome
person. She is a mother very full of attention to her children. I should not explain how much she cares about me and
my siblings. My mother was a lecturer in Economics in a private university in Jakarta. After resigning, she joined many
multi-level marketing companies, where at some she was succesful. Now she is an agent of a British insurance company: Prudential.
MY YOUNGER SISTER, ASRI is a very noisy person. I only have one problem with her: she talks too much.
However, my sister is a very dilligent girl. She is not very clever, yet she is consistent with pursuiting her dream
to become a professional accountant one day. Amidst her busyness, she likes selling items like girl's accessories, dolls,
etc very much. My father is very proud of her.
MY YOUNGER BROTHER, AKBAR is one of my best joking and laughing partners. Actually he is a very creative
and smart person, but he is quite lazy. This is one thing that often makes my parents upset. He spends much of his time doing
creative works: editing photos with Photoshop, designing websites, or composing his Trance music with his PC. As a kid, he
already pays much attention to his appearance.
